Marifide House est née d'un constat simple : la diaspora camerounaise porte son héritage sans toujours pouvoir l'expliquer, et ses enfants nés ici en héritent sans le connaître.Marifide House started from a simple observation: the Cameroonian diaspora wears its heritage without always being able to explain it, and their children born here inherit it without knowing it.
Les guides comblent ce vide. Ils racontent d'où viennent le Toghu et le Ndop, ce que veulent dire les motifs, et comment distinguer une pièce faite main d'une imitation. Les pièces imprimées, elles, permettent de porter ces motifs sans toucher aux textiles de cérémonie.The guides fill that gap. They tell where Toghu and Ndop come from, what the motifs mean, and how to tell a handmade piece from an imitation. The printed pieces let you wear those motifs without touching ceremonial textiles.
